For the 2023 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, more than 12.2 million evaluations were analyzed, which resulted in more than 71,000 leading lawyers being included in the new edition. Lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed; therefore, inclusion in Best Lawyers® is considered a singular honor. Only the top 5.3 percent of all practicing lawyers in the U.S. were selected by their peers for inclusion in the 29th edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
For the third edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America, all recognized “Ones to Watch” nominated lawyers were reviewed and voted on considering nuances that incapsulate the caliber of work lawyers earlier in their careers are doing.
Other honors include selection by his peers for inclusion in Leading Lawyers Network (2004-2015), a distinction awarded to only the top 5% of all attorneys in Illinois. Mr. Sullivan has also been selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer (2005-2015) by Law and Politics in the area of commercial litigation and corporate law. In addition, he has received an AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale-Hubbell©, its highest rating for attorneys for ethics and legal ability.
