Experience
Following law school he served for over four years with the Judge Advocate General’s Corps of the United States Army. While stationed in the Pentagon, and later in Washington, D.C., he handled a variety of assignments involving government contract law, including reviewing contracts, advising government contracting officers, and litigating bid protests and contract disputes.
Mr. Rollins represents a variety of private companies, not-for-profits, educational organizations, and public agencies on general corporate, labor law, law of the workplace issues, corporate organization and governance, buying and selling businesses, drafting and reviewing contracts and loan documents, statutory and regulatory compliance, handling employee discipline and terminations, defending employers against discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims.
He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Leading Lawyers, representing the top five percent of all attorneys in the state of Illinois, and has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, its highest rating for attorneys.

Community Involvement
Mr. Rollins was an elected member of the Board of Education of the Rockford Public Schools for twelve years, from 2011 to 2023. The District has an enrollment of 28,000 students, with 5,000 employees and a budget in excess of $450 million. At various times he chaired its Operations Committee and its Finance Committee, and served as Vice President of the Board. He served for nine years as a member of the board of directors of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce, and has also previously served on the board of directors of the not-for-profit Discovery Center and Family Counseling Services (including terms as President of those boards), the Rock Valley College Foundation, the Dean’s Council of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford – where he served as Vice-President – and the Rockford Area Arts Council.
