Client Spotlight – Helm Group

[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

You may have seen the red trucks branded with the iconic oval “CIVIL” or “MECHANICAL” logos around large infrastructure projects in the past.  Those familiar brands now operate under the new name and logo for Helm Group.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

About Helm Group

Helm Group is a proud union contractor, and has a current single project capacity of $200 million.  Helm does it all, from engineering and building bridges, dams, and water parks, to highways, hospitals, and high-tech data centers.  Though it has grown and evolved into one of the most technically skilled construction companies in the Midwest, it has stayed true to the hard-working, Midwestern values that lead to its success.

A New Brand

Given its diverse strengths, the company came to realize that its brand identity was in need of a strategic and creative update to reflect its unity across several divisions. It came to WilliamsMcCarthy partner Joel Huotari to help it register the new Helm trademark featured above.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”9038″ img_size=”full”][vc_separator][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”9039″ img_size=”large”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_column_text]Brian Helm, President and CEO of Helm Group, says, “Our new icon is an evolution of our old oval – contained in a shape that frequently occurs in natural and manmade engineering: the hexagon. The hexagon is the strongest shape known to mankind. It appears in everything from ice crystals to beehives; from Irelands’ Giant’s Causeway to dragonfly eyes; from geodesic domes to nuts and bolts. The lines that form Helm’s hexagonal new logo suggest the dynamic, multi-layered company we have become – and the employees who team up to bring value to our customers’ projects.”

Additional Support When Needed

Brian Helm also calls upon WilliamsMcCarthy’s President, Troy Haggestad, to provide counseling and litigation services.

Troy Haggestad says, “We are truly fortunate to call Helm Group a client of the firm, and it is a pleasure to work with Brian.  Companies like Helm can hire any law firm they want, so it is humbling to be engaged by such a dynamic company.  Like Helm, WilliamsMcCarthy LLP has deep Midwest roots, having been started here in Rockford in 1932.  We too are unabashedly proud of our hard-working, Midwest values, which is likely why Helm and WilliamsMcCarthy are a good fit.”[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
