Attorney Helps Local Family’s Dreams Become a Reality

[vc_row][vc_column width=”5/6″][vc_column_text]Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity is not about houses; it is about homeowners. It’s about community. A WilliamsMcCarthy LLP attorney, Daniel Huntley, is working with the Rockford non-profit to help area families make their homeowner dreams become a reality.

Huntley serves as Habitat’s attorney at home sale closings, in addition to preparing all closing documentation. Huntley volunteers and donates his time and expertise to the organization. The most recent closing he participated in took place on September 2.

“We are so grateful for Dan’s commitment to helping Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity,” said Keri Nelson, Executive Director at Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity. “His expertise and passion to support the organization is helping more families in the area live in homes they can afford.”

“It’s wonderful to sit in a home sale closing, knowing that the family sitting on the receiving end made a life changing commitment to become a homeowner,” said Huntley. “I look forward to assisting Habitat reach their goal of partnering with five more families in 2016.”

Rockford Area Habitat for Humanity selects families based on their need for adequate housing, ability to make affordable mortgage payments, and willingness to become partners in the program. The impacts of stable housing ripple outward into all areas of these families’ lives, from academic performance to job stability, and everything in between.

Huntley, an attorney at WilliamsMcCarthy LLP, concentrates his practice in corporate law, real estate law, estate and trust law, and agribusiness.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/6″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
